Now Accepting Fall 2023 Applications
As college preparatory academies, we are dedicated to providing students with an education that enables them to reach their fullest potential academically, spiritually, physically and emotionally. We believe in equipping the whole child.
The admissions policy is designed to determine whether DeSoto Children's Academy is the best fit for your student. Your child is not guaranteed admission. Incomplete applications are not accepted. Annual Physician's statements are independent of the application.
Admissions Eligibility

Children entering Kindergarten must turn five on or before September 1 of that year.

Students entering 1st grade must turn six on or before September 1.

Preschool children must be 18 months at the time of application.

Toddlers are classified as students who are 18 – 23 months.
Health & Immunization
Every child enrolled at DCA must meet immunization requirements of the Texas Department of Health. This requirement applies to all children in care and the immunizations must be completed by the date of admission.
Non-Discriminatory Policy
DCA accepts students of any race, nationality and ethnic origin and gives access to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally afforded or made available to students at the school.
Texas Rising Star
DeSoto Children’s Academy is a part of the Texas Rising Star (TRS) program. This program serves Texas
Workforce Commission (TWC) subsidized children and participants voluntarily meet requirements that exceed the state’s minimum childcare licensing (CCL) standards.
