Director
Raegan J. Francis, Ph.D.
Raegan is the director and owner of DeSoto Children’s Academy. Raegan has 8 years of early childhood education experience, with one year of teaching experience in elementary school. Raegan earned an M.Ed in early childhood education from Texas Woman’s University and recently completed the PhD program in Child Development and Early Education at Texas Woman's University. Her passion for providing memorable learning experiences and developing the whole child gives our scholars the chance to learn in an individualized way.
Assistant Director
Chakeela Facion
Chakeela is the assistant director and curriculum director of DeSoto Children’s Academy. Chakeela has 16 years of early childhood education experience. Her experience ranges from all ages through kindergarten. She has an associate in child development (CDA) and is pursuing a bachelor's degree in early childhood education at Dallas College. Her love for curriculum development and making learning interactive and fun for your child contributes to creating a lifelong love of learning for our scholars.
