Our Programs
A Pathway To Kindergarten Readiness
Because there is no curriculum that could fully cover Texas Prekindergarten Guidelines and Kindergarten TEKS (Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills), DeSoto Children’s Academy creates learning targets based on assessed knowledge to get scholars to kindergarten readiness. Students learn on a more individualized basis and the lessons coincide with age-appropriate themes.
While academia is important, we at DeSoto Children’s Academy believe that learning through play is equally important. Our scholars will experience direct instruction in literacy and mathematics, enjoy art centers, technology centers, Spanish, dramatic play, physical education, music and movement, and explore community and nature through thematic activities. In addition to indoor activities, our scholars participate in outdoor learning activities.
At DeSoto Children’s Academy we believe in whole child development. We want every scholar to leave us with foundational skills for success in school and that includes the social and emotional skills in addition to building a sense of confidence and self-worth for every scholar. We also believe that community and family connections are a contributing factor to our scholars’ success. Toddlers
(Age: 18-23 months)
Learning is doing, so little ones have all the space they need to move, explore, and excel.

We understand how difficult it can be to leave your baby with someone. In our toddler program, our loving, caring staff provides a safe, nurturing, and positive environment which stimulates brain development, so infants have plenty of opportunities to develop their motor skills and explore with all their senses.
Two's
(Age: 24-48 months)
Learners on the move! Embrace and discover energetic, active learning experiences.

We encourage fun, safe, and healthy discovery in our toddler daycare program, providing ample opportunities for cognitive, physical, and socio-emotional growth. These early learners enjoy a time of active exploration and constant discovery while we help them navigate their environment with confidence.
Early Preschoolers
(Age: 3-4 years)
For active little achievers, hands-on learning experiences help children prepare for kindergarten.

Our Pre-K Program is designed specifically to ensure children are ready to THRIVE in Kindergarten and beyond. We do everything we can to set children up for a bright future with unlimited possibilities. Our preschoolers become completely comfortable with the transition into Kindergarten by building emotional, social, and academic skills necessary for success.
Pre-K
(Age: 4-5 years)
Gain a strong foundation for kindergarten and laying the groundwork for advanced skill development.

Our Kindergarten Program goes well beyond the minimum standards of achievement for state-approved kindergarten programs, far exceeding curriculum requirements in every area of cognitive and social development.
Before & After School Care
(Available to all enrolled students)
Our After School & Early Morning Care programs support families by providing a dynamic range of opportunities for students to pursue creative, intellectual, physical, and social interests outside of standard school hours.
Through hands-on activities that encourage self-expression, children widen their social horizons by working with peers from various age groups while cultivating community.
Summer Camp
(Age: 24 months - 5 years)
Our action-packed & flexible summer programs will give your child a summer full of great moments, memories & friends.
From adventures in nature to academic activities to playing sports, our summer program ensures that children do not fall behind in the break between school years, while also having a blast with their peers and our energized instructors.
